Closing timing...question

With all of the people who passed ROFR recently (CONGRATULATIONS!!!), I figured we are all in the same boat waiting for closing...

From the time Disney waived ROFR, it took a week and a half for my resale company to receive the estoppels from Disney. It is now with the closing agent - they got it on Monday (11/13). How long should it be before we have the contract / closing?

Then I believe it is 7 - 10 days typically for Disney to get the contract into their system.

Anyone have recent experiences with the process? Thanks!

We put our offer in the night of the 23rd of August, the resale company faxed over the documents for me to sign the morning of the 24th. Disney waived their FROR On Sept 1st, I received my final documents on Sept 22nd which they came UPS, but I had to wait about 5 days for the documents to come back from the sellers which they lived in England. The finality was around the end of Sept. first week of October. I called DVC member services on Oct 12th and my name was in the computer and they gave me my membership number so I was able to log on to DVC website. I received my membership card last week. Good luck!

CONGRADULATIONS. We received our closing Docs email today, signed the paperwork, and sent the Docs and check next day mail today to the closing company. Can't wait to hear it has closed and make a ressie.

Congrats to everyone on passing ROFR and getting their closing paperwork! We passed ROFR on 10/30 so I am hoping that our paperwork is emailed this week. I am thinking about booking a std view studio during F&W Festival.

Hi Everyone...just wanted to let you know the timing we experienced.
We closed on Friday, November 10 with Timeshare Closing Services. We were in the DVC database today, and our points were available late this afternoon...in time to make a reservation today

Got an email this morning that we closed!!!!
Just need to wait a week or so to get in the system. Thanks to everyone at TTS and TCS (especially Jamie and Nancy K.) for their efforts to keep the proccess moving.

It appears it is taking a little longer for the estoppels (about 1 wk more). I understand as of today that Disney is still working on ROFRs through 10/25 (StevBetNic was waived on 10/25, and had docs on 11/14). I'm guessing mine (1st one) won't be in until next week at least (waived 10/30 and 11/09), and then we'll run in to the holiday, too.

{sigh} waiting is soooo hard.......

NH, we passed on 10/30, and no docs yet, either. According to the ROFR thread, Liisa passed 11/03 so we should be hearing something soon(I hope...)!

Yup... Kdzgon is correct... we submitted to ROFR on 10/25, passed 11/3. Closing docs received 11/17. I believe that StevBetNick has a similar timeframe - only about a week earlier than us. I hope you get your documents soon! I know we are all anxious to get our first ressies booked!

You are correct Liisa. Our exact dates were submitted ROFR on 10-17...passed on 10-25...closing docs received on 11-14....closed on 11-16 (very fast turn around with local Orlando seller)...now for the final wait lol

Watch your e-mail/snail mail, guys and gals! Received one set of docs today (passed 10/30) and was told our second contract (passed 11/09) is in too. Brenda (@ Timeshare Closing) said Disney is sending a flood of them right now.

Nope, I was wrong. I passed ROFR on 11/1 (just wishful thinking and decrepit memory made me think it was 10/30). So maybe tomorrow is my lucky day?

I'll cross my fingers for you, too! She said she had quite a stack (over 15 at 2:45 PM), so I'd say odds are pretty good you're nearly there!

Just waiting on the sellers to send in their closing docs. Waiting, waiting and MORE waiting... I hope they aren't going to hold off until after the Thanksgiving holiday... that may just kill me!
