Closing timeline....(sorry if its repeat thread)

Hi everyone,

I swear I've seen the answer for this somewhere but I cant seem to find it now. We just got word that the final closing documents are completed and Disney is being informed of transfer to our name. In the email they said "Please allow Disney some time to complete the transfer." Just wondering about how long that takes. I understand points take a bit of time after that but more so wondering how soon we might see that magical Disney letter welcoming us home. Thanks all!

I'm on 12th business day and still no points. Someone posted it's more like 15-20 business days. So it could be a month after your contract posts that you are actually able to use your points.

Thanks. It’s widely inconsistent. A few people had points loaded this weekend within a day or 2.

I’m on day 5 but only 3 if the weekend doesn’t count. I have heard a division of MS does it and they work every day..but who knows for sure!!

This is our first contract. If I read the email correctly, it sounds like we will receive a letter in the mail first. Is that correct?

From Disney:

Our turnaround time for the queue is taking between 5-6 weeks from the date we receive the documents. So, we should have your transfer completed within the next few days.

Once we have completed the transfer, the system will generate a confirmation email. Please note that once we have completed the transfer in our system, there is a different department that physically moves the points between the accounts. This part of the process typically takes an additional 7-10 business days.

Yes, they send you one with information but I think it’s also sent email. Since I am an existing member, I got the email when it was added Thursday. Now waiting on points.

Thanks, I wasn’t sure if it was email, snail mail, or both. Only thing I was afraid of is if it was only email I’d be afraid to miss it if it showed up in my junk folder.

We FINALLY received our points TODAY!!! Created our account on 7/31 & points finally showed today! We have crossed the finish line!!!
