Congrats!! Super exciting. I see that your points were added really quickly for a new member - did you have to call or were they really that fast??

We got activation code around 3pm then got Club ID about 2-3 hours later to login. Points came a little less then 24 hours later. NO CALL!

I don't get it either. I started to think that, b/c we had the sellers bank our 2023 points and our UY is October, maybe we got moved behind people that have points that need to be used/banked? I don't work there obviously, but I'm finding it hard to imagine that it's that many 'clicks/entries' to load points onto an account. It seems like if they're emailing us account log ins and giving us access that the points should follow rather quickly.

Only thing that was different in the chat I had today was that they said they were still waiting on some information before my points would show up. The person I chatted with wasn’t sure what exactly but to check back towards the end of the week. Does anyone know what ‘info’ they could possibly be waiting for? Is it something from the title company? My last resale contract went much smoother and my points were loaded the day after the contract showed in my account.

We used online notary to sign. I found a mistake in the loan paperwork and needed to reschedule. We were originally going to sign on 3/13, but finally signed last night. We have a delayed closing - end of April, so now we (continue to) wait. It’s ok, we were just in Disney at the end of January, so no huge rush to get back. We have 40 2023 points to use by July 31, not sure if it’s going to happen at this point, but that’s ok. Looking forward to planning our next trip!

I am amazed to see others getting points 29-33 days after making an offer on their contract. I do not think we could have had this process drag out any longer than it has based on other’s recent experiences.

Reached out to Disney Administration on Friday to make sure our documents were sent over after our deed was recorded on 3/14. Member services followed up yesterday once to confirm they had received the documents on 3/15 and a second time yesterday evening to confirm the account transfer has been complete.

Existing member (though this new contract is not titled the same, just my wife and I rather than along with other family members on first contract, so expected to receive the emails to sign in and link accounts) did not receive any additional emails and account showed as linked under original DVC account once signed in.

Direct response from the member administration cast member was, “We completed the transfer of ownership in our records today. Our Member Services department will handle the process of transferring the points into your new contract. This part of the process typically takes a few additional days.”

Hoping this means we won’t all be waiting too long and can see the trend of points loading more quickly pick back up. We’re almost there!

I know what you mean. We’ve got 175 points banked from 2022 that we have to use by July 31. Just want to get those points used and not lose them.

It was 350 points set to expire on July 31st and I’m SO glad we had the seller bank the 2023 points as we wouldn’t be able to at this point.

175 points is a lot to play with. I’d be looking to use up those points too!

We were fortunate that the sellers had already banked points before listing, so with a 150 point contract, we have 281 coming for 2024.

Our deed was recorded on 3/11 and the contract was showing on 3/21 (existing members). I've been impatiently waiting for the points to load. We want to upgrade our room for our trip in May and today is the 7 month mark for a trip we want to take with family in October. I've been told to check back in a few days and I've also been told the obligatory "it can take 6-8 weeks for points to load". I am so frustrated.

I've always called via phone (no chat) 1-2 days after it showed up on the membership and asked to get the points loaded, and was always successful on 5+ resale contracts including the BWV one I posted about last week. In this last case, it actually allowed me to get one of the last BW view studios for Presidents' Day weekend next year and I would not have gotten that a day later.

Maybe try calling, but do it between 9am -5pm ET since I think they need to work with a separate department to get it done.
