Closing thru Disney

Of course I am dying to book my cruise and called to see when I close. Surprise my guide is off this weekend., (how dare she, LOL, just kidding folks). When you buy through Disney- credit approved, how long does it take to actually close so I can get my voucher and book my cruise???????

I would leave your Guide a message today. Your Guide controls part of the closing process. We had a Disney direct delayed closing once and I finally found out that it was because our Guide didn't do his job correctly and they were waiting on him to correct his mistakes.

Inside your paperwork is a phone number for Quality Assurance. They are the people to contact with questions about your paperwork but they may be able to see where you are in the closing process. It might be worth it to give them a call and see if they can help.

Most of us didn't pay any attention to how long it took to close because we didn't have a cruise incentive. When you purchase through Disney you don't have to wait until closing to make your first DVC reservation so closing was kind of a "non event". If I had to guess, I would say it took a couple of months to close in my case.

I signed at the beginning of Febraury and my closing is set for March 15

It was about 5 weeks for us.

OK- I appreciate the input. I found out that they have to wait till the end of the recission period,(for me my papers were dated 2/18 so today was the 10th day) once that ten days passes, they close the contract. Then mail the voucher. It can take 90 days to record the deed, but you don't have to wait for that. Mine is supposed to close tomorrow--- so hopefully by midweek I will have that voucher in my grubby fist. LOL. I will talk to my guide tomorrow to double check.
