Closing Costs on Resale

Does anyone know if closing costs are a % of the total sale or how they are calculated??

We are getting closer to making an offer.

We have done two resales with The Timeshare Store and they have been approximately $400. It didn't matter how many points, it was a flat fee.

Some charge a flat fee and others have a tiered fee depending on the dollar amount. The lowest I've seen is $200 and most are in the $450 range, plus the transfer fee.

Mine was about $375 for my resale. I think it goes up slightly the more points you have, but not by much.

Your broker should be able to tell you exactly what the closing costs will be, as well as any other amounts you may be expected to pay in addition to the per-point cost.

I've seen closing costs from about $350 minimum up to 3% or so of the total. I think most title agents use a minimum fee with a sliding scale upward from that. But it doesn't really matter to you what most do. What matters to you is what your closing costs will be, and your broker can tell you.

We paid $375 for a 50 point contract and $500 for a 200 point contract. I think others have done better.
