Closing costs if buying thru Disney

I understand that buyers are now responsible for paying closing costs when buying directly through Disney. Does anyone know the approximate cost of closing for a 150 point purchase at SSR?

Disney has stated no closing costs for an ADD-ON contract. However, it does appear they plan on charging new members closing costs for a new purchase.

To answer the OP's question, my guess would be in the $400-$500 range.

I just got a new contract 150 pts at BCVs thru Disney. Signed all the paperwork last week and have a closing date Mid-Aug. There were no closing costs associated with my contract

The closing costs started Jul 10. OUr guide told us, we bought on Jul 4. For our 150 point contract, it would have been about 350.

I am buying 150 points at BWV with out closing cost. I was told there was only a closing cost at SSR. Not at sold out resorts. Oh, points are from Disney, not resale.

We were told that as of June 10th new members buying through DVC were goign to have a $200 closing cost charge.

They waved this for us because we were down there prior to June 10th and informed DVC that we wanted to buy.

Thanks for all the responses. Buying through Disney would mean much less out of pocket expenses and we would probably pay off the rest within a year.
Still more thinking to do, though.

That date must be off because we told them we wanted to purchase on June 27th, just got and signed our paperwork and aren't paying the closing costs--we saw the paperwork (one of the many forms we had to sign) on Disney paying it and it would have been $414 on our 200 point SSR purchase--that is, it was $414, and Disney is covering it.

As of July 10, closing costs on a 150 point new contract are $200.00, so sayeth my guide.

There will be NO closing costs for add-ons.
