I am contemplating doing the SW Airlines 60k points offer, which would add yet another credit card to my wallet. Most of my cards are no annual fee, but this one does have a fee - clearly worth it for the 60k in points.
Do you typically close out cards once you've gotten the bonuses?
Wait until just before the annual fee for the next year would be due?
It looks like most of the points offers say you can get bonus points if you haven't had that card or gotten bonuses for 24months, so is it better to close the account asap once you've earned the bonus? Or do you just spread your spending around so that you are covering each annual fee with rewards on that card?
Trying to figure out how to take advantage of points offers without having a silly number of cards and/or unnecessary annual fees.
