The rules about the over-the-door shoe organizers has changed as they were scratching the bathroom doors. Not sure what the "on board" rule is, will you be asked to take it down or not. On the Fantasy last March, we really didn't use ours so all I'm bringing this time is a jewelry hanger that fits over a hanger to keep KTTW cards in meds and chargers.

I think I'll pass, since I don't want to be assessed a fee for damage either.

I use a magnetic hook to attach to the bathroom door, rather than over-the-door handles. Works great and is very small, I store it in one of the pockets of the shoe holder.

We are four---2 adults, 2 small children. On the Magic, 5A cat. Probably be ok without the extra organizer. Over thinking things for sure :) Even thought about bringing two shoe organizers, simply based on the amount of junk my children seem to accumulate....

I know this post is old but in case it helps someone else: We assigned each of our two kids a drawer on either side of the desk and it worked great! We participated in the Fish Extender gift exchange and as soon as they looked at their stuff, they put it straight into "their" drawer. We did also bring an over-the-door shoe organizer but that was just for having an easy way to see all our toiletries. Not sure what we'll do next time though, since they've asked folks not to bring those (causes damage to doors... scratches paint and can dent/misshape doors).

Just off the Fantasy. We used two large suction cup "wreath hangers" to attach our shoe organizer to the back of the bathroom door. Worked out wonderfully to have clear pockets to store sunscreen, sunglasses, post it notes, etc. Did not damage the door at all! Just lost the use of one pocket that was tucked behind the doorknob.

I've read the tips about bringing the over-the-door shoe organizer...what about the closet? Is it large enough for a hanging shelf organizer? Thinking about working around the limited drawer space.

We always use Hey's JetPack packing shelves.
Never have any issues with them moving about in the closet on smooth or rough seas. They are awesome.. pack , compress and take out and hang in the closet in your stateroom. So quick to unpack!
