Closest Walmart or grocery store to Disney?

Hi Everyone,

This will be our first trip with a rental car and we need to stock up on necessities and baby supplies when we get to Disney. How close is the nearest Walmart or major grocery store to Disney? Thanks for your help!

I know there is a Winn Dixie close to DownTown Disney. They had great prices, especially if you signed up for their free "member card".

You have several choices near Downtown Disney. In the Crossroads shopping center on Vineland/Apopka there is a Goodings. I fell over at diaper prices in Jan 06. There is also a Winn Dixie on Vineland/Apopka and either a Publix or Albertsons.
If you have the time, since you have a car, I would suggest the Super Walmart or Super Target on Irlo Bronson in Kissimmee. It's not all that far, but can have some traffic issues depending on the time of year/day. And, you get to goggle all those fantasticly cheesy tourist traps! I just the giant orange!

There's kind of a "back door" exit off property by AKL via Sherbeth Road that takes you to 192 and there is every store you could imagine on that road - WalMart, Publix, CVS, Target - you name it!

SuperWalmart at 3250 Vineland Road (this is also know as 535) - much better traffic pattern - and you can hit on way from Airport if you are coming that way.

From Disney -
follow signs to DDD, follow road around and turn onto hotel plaza boulevard, follow to stop light that when straight would take you into Croassroads plaza (goodings, tgifridays, etc), turn right at this light, follow this road under I-4 and keep going - I believe SWM is on right, but can't remember. It is about 8 miles from Fort Wilderness (but about 15 minutes with stop lights)
