Closest SuperTarget to DTD

I want to know if anyone knows how to get to a SuperTarget near Downtown Disney. I would rather go after we check into our hoterl than on the way from the airport and I prefer SuperTarget to Super walmart but info on either would be great. I know how to get to all the grocery stores but things like soda and bottled water are always so much higher there.

As a rule of thumb, the closer you are to WDW, the higher the prices are. Unless you are buying a lot, you will probably spend more in time and gas than what you would save driving further away from WDW. (JMO)

if your flying in, on your drive to wdw on the greenline tollway you pass one on the way, it will be on your left hand side about half way mark or right before the first toll , i think. you really cant miss it.

We went to the Super Target close to the airport in June, and it's a very nice store! Very clean and the prices seemed reasonable. It's in a shopping center with fast food places close by.

Not sure when it will open, but we saw a new SuperTarget under construction right next to a new Sams Club which is already open just a few miles from DTD.

I believe it is Hwy 535 that goes under I-4 and goes past Vistana. We always go over to the corner of that road and 192 to shop at a Publix (even though they've since built one a bit closer). When we were in the area last week, I searched the internet for the nearest Sams. It was just to the East of the Publix on 192. Great location! Milk was 80 cents cheaper than at the Publix and other things were typically discounted. They even have a liquor store with good prices. Gasoline was almost 20 cents cheaper than at the local stations. They were actually slightly cheaper on a few items than our store at home.

When we finished there, we only had three items left on our shopping list for the week that we were forced to go to a grocery store for. One because we didn't need the large quantity that Sams sold and the other two because they weren't available.

at sams did they carry meat? for christmas i want to pick up a turkey or ham os something to cook at the vwl, we have a 2 bedroom with a full kitchen.

Sams carries meats. However there is a Publix on Vineland very close to DTD that will have everything you will need as well.

I didn't check out the meat section of this particular Sams as we had bought a Honeybaked ham on the way in and didn't need any. I did see a chicken section, so I feel sure there is other meat. It was a pretty large store.

Our local Sams has very good hams that are similar to the Honeybaked ones. I have used them before and enjoyed them.

Publix has pretty good sales and reasonable prices, but you would probably find things cheaper at Sams unless it happened to be in the Publix ad that week.

How do you get to Sam's on 192 from the Disney Resorts like the AKL? We're driving in on I-4, is this on the way?
