I'm not sure which board to post this on. I was wondering if anyone knew what the closest pharmacy to Disney is? My mom will need a prescription filled in the middle of our trip (of course!). She usually gets it filled at CVS and I see there is one about 4 miles from Pop Century. I guess a taxi would be the way to go, but it looks like that may cost $30+?? I was wondering if there was any other pharmacy closer than that? I realize they may not even fill her prescription which is why of course we will call ahead of time to find out.

Well, there's Turner Drug. They'll deliver for $5, but they I'm not sure they accept insurance - she may have to pay up front and get reimbursed by her insurance company. I'm sure you can Google the phone number now and get specific information from them.

There is also a Walgreens up on Rt. 535 (I think that's the road), up from Crossroads past DTD.

They're open normal pharmacy hours (at 9am on weekdays I think). We found them a few years ago when DD had a double ear infection (thank goodness for CentraCare).

Turner Drugs does deliver. The pharmicy staff is very very nice. It is family owned. They do not take insurance plans, however, they give you all the papers to submit to your company. They deliver to the hotel and bell staff will hold it for you. Good luck
Why don't you call CVS and ask about the vacation refill program. They offer a one time early refill for vacations and such. YOu may need to call moms insurance to get approval. I did it once and it worked great.

Doesn't places like walgreens and cvs have the computer connection system where all they have to do is look it up and they can fill you anywhere at any store?

Sure - any CVS can refill any prescription from any other CVS; ditto Walgreen's... but the OP's problem is getting TO the pharmacy, without a car.

I want to second this. CVS will definetly early refill a prescription. I have done it twice. I have even had them fill a liquid antibiotic early by giving me the powder bottle and a pre-measured bottle of water to mix with it. They have been amazingly helpful. CALL. :)
