There's a new Publix complex in Davenport that is very easy to get to from WH. When you come out of WH turn right on to Old Lake Wilson Rd. Follow it to the first set of lights (2 - 3 miles) and there's a new Publix across the intersection. This one keeps you out of the traffic on 192.
There's another Publix at Orange Lake, west on 192 a couple of miles.
On this map WH is #1 and the new Publix is #178:

Closest is Winn Dixie Marketpalce at Formosa Gardens Shopping Plaza.
Nearby Publix off 192 W.

Directions: Make a left on Old Wilson Road out of Windsor Hills, make a left on Morgan Williams (before you get to 192)--this will bring you to 192, make a right, King's is in the little shopping plaza on the right. Great for last minute things including wine and beer.

I love your map, but I can't figure out the exact address of the Publix #178 on the map. I looked on the Publix website, but couldn't find it in Kissimmee. Can you help with an address, city or what store # it is on Publix?

We drove by this one when we were there in Nov. There are still other stores and restaurants being built beside it. There's also a new Target being built on 192 across from the entrance to the Orange Lake Publix. Looks like there will be some other smaller stores along with it.

Just a warning about the King's -- don't plan on buying more than last-minute things. It is wayyyy overpriced (even more than the Publix) and it isn't very nice ... but it is convenient.

I totally agree! I stopped there tonight to pick up some bread/milk etc. and couldn't figure out why our bill was so high. When I got home I checked my receipt and they charged me $10. for a case of Aquafina water! I think that is DOUBLE what I paid at Publix. I am seriously thinking about returning the case in the morning, just because I am so pissed off. They didn't have a price on the shelf so it was my own mistake for not asking, but I definately wouldn't have purchased it for that price!

I found Publix really expensive, too. Does anybody have more precise directions to the Winn Dixie or Super Walmart? We have 5 more days so I am sure I will need to pick up a few things later in the week.

To the SuperWalmart - turn left out of WH, then left onto the 192. Travel about 10 mins to US27, at the end of the 192. Turn right onto the 27 and SuperWalmart is almost immediately on your right at Cagan Crossings.

Winn Dixie (only good for basics IMHO!) - left out of WH, left onto 192, it's a few minutes along on the left, in Formosa Gardens plaza, look for Taco Bell, Giordanos Pizza and Carabbas.

Which Publix did you try? I'm looking forward to trying the new one at the bottom of Old Lake Wilson so I'd be interested in hearing about it if it was that one!

I have found Publix to be reasonable. Goodings was pricey, and we went to a grocery store nearby the Outback and Giordano's on west Irlo that was also pricey....sorry, can't remember the name of that grocery store.

That one is the MarketPlace (Winn Dixie) that's in the Formosa Gardens Plaza near Outback and Giordano's.
