Closest Grocery Store to OKW

Goodings, which is in the Cross Roads Plaza, left out of OKW Gate. I found Goodings to be more expensive and a little tatty and less than clean. We prefer to go to Winn Dixie, you actually take a left at the Cross Roads intersection and head down about a mile. It's on your right and in the plaza is also a liquor store, an ice cream parlor, Papa John's Pizza. On the left acrross from the Winn Dixie plaza is a Walgreens. Winn Dixie is clean, has a variety of take out items like rotiserrie chickens etc. To get discounts you need the discount card but they will give you one right then and there if you ask at checkout, takes no time at all.

Have a great trip!

As has already been posted, Goodings is the closest. But their prices are much higher than what you would pay if you go just a little bit further to the Publix or WinnDixie that are just down the road. Check them out on Google maps.

I take it that the Winn Dixie you are talking about is the one at the end of International Drive?

direction to Publix
going out of OKW turn left - at the stop sign (when the road quit) - take a right - (go pass the first traffic light - firestation one) - traffic light take a left (hotel plaza) - when the road ends - take a right (535 - apopeka/vineland road) - get in the left lane - you are going under I4 - take the next left at the traffic light - at the end of this road on the left is a Publix. (ends at International Drive)

Winn Dixie. I have their customer card to get the extra discounts. Some clerks will use a generic card to give you the discounts but some won't. It does add up. Got a GPS? N28 23.516 W81 30.359

I really think Publix has better quality foods.

that goodings is nasty, I remember the last time I went it, not only was it was too pricey HALF the stuff was EXPIRED!!!!

does Publix have a discount card like Winn Dixie? Do you need to apply ahead of time or can they issue it right there? Thanks:)

Publix does not have a discount card that I know of. We use both stores. I usually go online to the stores website to see their specials for the week and then decide which one has the best offers. I make up my list and go after we check in. If the room was not ready at check in and is not ready after we shop, we have the items stored by bell services.
