Closest grocery store to Grand Californian?

Now that I know there will be a refrigerator in the room; are there grocery stores close by?

There really aren't any grocery stores nearby. We are going on Sunday and I am having Albertsons deliver groceries to the hotel. I phoned GC and they said that it was fine. Albertson's charges $9.95 to do this. We haven't done it before so I am hoping that it works.

It works great!! We had Albertsons deliver to DLH and no issues whatsoever.

I can't think of the closest grocery store. There are a few stores like AM/PM and Seven-Elevens nearby but for real groceries, your best bet is probably ordering from someplace like Albertsons.

When you did deliveries did you have it arrive before or after you did? Just wondering, because I was considering have a delivery made when we stay at HOJO this spring. I just didn't know if I had to be present when delivery was made...

We had the delivery time scheduled for about an hour after we got there. I let the bell desk know that it was coming and they refrigerated the order while we were out having dinner. There is a place to put a note on the checkout page and I plugged in a statement that the bell desk was allowed to sign for my order if I was not there. Hope that helps. It was funny......I saw the bell desk delivering other peoples luggage to their rooms with grocery orders as well. Great minds think alike.......

I'm staying at the tropicana. Can I have stuff delivered to that hotel too? How do I get into contact with albertsons to place an order?

This would be great!! Save me a trip!

I just logged in on their website and shopped that way. I am sure if you call the Tropicana they would let you know if they have an issue with it. I would be surprised if they did.

We used Albertsons too when we stayed at the Carousel Inn. It worked out great for us too, and we will use them again the next time.

We had Albertson's deliver to us at the GCH last October and it was great !! Everything was delivered as ordered. The bell desk did have us come down and sign for it because there was wine in our order but if there hadn't been alcohol, I think they would've signed for it.

Isn't there a Target "fairly" close by?

Many Targets actually do sell food now, even the regular ones. The ones near us in Michigan sell a limited selection of refrigerated goods like milk, yogurt, cheese, ice cream and some frozen foods. They also have a reasonable grocery section with cereal, snacks, and that sort of thing.
