Closest (drive time) suites to MK, Epcot?

What suites types hotels are the fastest to/from Epcot and MK?

I'm looking for a suites type room - want a fridge, microwave and a living area. I've looked at tons of places including Wyndham Palms Resort, HIFS, Doubletree at DTD and am having a hard time picking something. I'm hoping for $100/night or less and really want a good value. Too many choices! With two little ones that will nap during the day, realized proximity is key, but won't be staying on site as the All Stars aren't a good value IMO. Thanks!

when are you going in January or September - then OKW - rent a studio for around $80 a night Sun-Thursday

a studio has a microwave and a under the counter refrigerator - and OKW is on WDW property

Kissimmee is the closet non WDW property to Epcot - I think it is actually closer than part of Lake Buena Vista

is the vistors bureau for kissimee/st cloud (you don't want st cloud) - the part that is close is along US192 I like the West side.

Thanks. We're going in Sept., but staying over a weekend so OWK points were too much $. If I didn't have a 2 and 4yo to deal with, I wouldn't mind staying some place different over the weekend. Oh well. I'll keep looking.

Caribe Royale, Buena Vista Suites and HIFS are all near each other and very near MGM and EPCOT. Reasonable drive to MK. If you're looking for a timeshare type place Vistana is also well located.

Some close places with condos or suites in Kissimmee, not far from the All Stars are:

Silver Lake Resort
Summerfield Suites
Parkway International
Village at Parkway

Doubletree in DTD is very close by (right on Hotel Plaza Blvd).

In the Lake Buena Vista area, try:

Homewood Suites, Lake Buena Vista
Sheraton Vistana Resort
Sunterra Cypress Pointe Resort (& Grandvillas)

Just a little further (maybe a mile into Orlando proper), try:

HIFS
Caribe Royale
Buena Vista Suites
Marriott Orlando World Center (villas)

Several nearby suite hotels:

Residence Inn
Homewood Suites
Days Suites
Quality Suites

I've personally stayed at the last 3 and was pleased with all of them. I haven't stayed in that Residence Inn but have stayed in others and they are always very nice.

Rental homes/condos are the other way to go.

Windsor Palms is only about 2 or 3 miles off property. They have 2 and 3 bedroom condos and 3-6 bedroom homes.
