Closest community to Disney with 3-4b.r. private homes

I was looking at some homes in the Lindfields area and realized I could get one of these for the same price as a condo at WH. I know some of these houses can be older, but some looked nice. My question is, besides this area, what are some other nice, safe "family" developments that are close to Disney (besides WH, WP,etc. as most house at WH are double the price of the condos). Thanks...signed..still completely undecided..

We've stayed on Sunset Lakes to the west of Disney (approx 5 mins to AK) and Cumbrian Lakes (approx 10 -15 mins to WDW) Both are gated communities and we enjoyed both.

There's Oak Island Cove and Harbour, Emerald Island, Formosa Gardens, Rolling Hills, Acadia Estates, Indian Creek, Indian Ridge and Indian Ridge Oaks, Sunset Lakes and Lindfields.
The older subdivisions would be Lindfields, Indian Ridge and Oaks then Sunset Lakes and the rest are within a couple of years of each other.

I found this map in the Reviews board and it has helped me begin to narrow which communities to consider. You can select the community by name and the map will enlarge to that area or just use the + arrow on the bottom left to look at all the communities. Be forewarned - there are a lot!!

We stayed in the Lindfields subdivision last November and loved it. Nice house and pool and close to everything!! Would definately do it again!
