My 2 Adult kids went to Universal Studios for a day. They looked into renting a car for the day, but it ended up being less to use Uber there and back.

I agree that Uber or Lyft would probably be less (and it's so nice to not have to drive & park), but there are 'not infrequent' price surges in that area that may increase the fare quite a bit. So it would all depend on when you're going. In the morning it shouldn't be a problem. But the ride home might be 'surge' if it's in the evening/night when people are out and about at bars and clubs.

I'd still probably use them but I'd just be sure that a price surge was budgeted for.

We're driving to San Diego. Although I'd love to pay Uber to drive me there, I think that might cost more than a rental, lol.
