Closest Beach to Orlando

My DH is really wanting to take the DS's to a beach during our stay this October. What is the closest beach to Orlando? We will have a rental car during our entire stay so we don't have to worry about transportation.

Daytona Beach is probably the closest, or something else on the Atlantic side. Around an hour from Orlando. I believe Tampa/Clearwater is slightly longer, just over 1 1/2 hours.

Cocoa Beach is prob closest (and nicer, more family oriented than Daytona IMO). Just south of Port Canaveral. ABout 1 hour drive. Enjoy!

Yep, Cocoa Beach is the closest. Expect the water to be cool and it's still going to be hurricane season in October so you might get good weather or you might not.
