Here's the deal....

We are staying in a WH townhouse when the new Harry Potter book is released. I want to pick this up for DS (well me too) to read. I'm a B&N member so I get a great price on the book.

Is there a B&N anywhere close to WH?

Thanks!

It looks like the nearest one is just under 12 miles away on Sand Lake Road (near the Florida Mall).

Address
Plaza Venezia
7900 W. Sand Lake Road
Orlando, FL 32819

Store Hours

There is a B Dalton on Pointe Orlando, International Drive which would be a bit closer - but not sure if you get the BN discount there.

To get to Sand Lake Road you just go up I-4 East...it's the same road / exit you take to get to Universal..it's about 15 minutes (maybe 20) from Windsor Hills. (Just past 528 which takes you to the airport).

There's some excellent restaurants there by the way....we ate at an AWESOME seafood place there 2 trips ago called Moonfish...expensive..but just incredible! Seafood, sushi...that sort of thing..I had surf and turf..and it was to die for! :)

Just to clarify, this B&N is nowhere near the Florida Mall; it's a couple miles west of I-Drive, the mall is at least 5 miles east of I-Drive. There is a B&N near the mall, but it fronts onto Orange Blossom Trail, a block or two south of Sand Lake.

To get to the B&N above, do not take the Universal/I-Drive exit--take the "Sand Lake Road" exit, just before the Universal exit (I want to say exit 74, 99% sure that's it). Headed eastbound, you will have to turn left onto Sand Lake Road, cross Turkey Lake Road, go about a half-mile to a mile, then look to your left. B&N is just past the Publix and the Panera Bread Co., at the end of a huge shopping plaza.

B Dalton does offer a discount to B&N members, but you have to pay to park at Pointe Orlando, and it's a lot harder to get there than to Sand Lake. I'd stick with B&N.

Wow not what I was planning at all........

Hmmm last year our local Wal-Mart had a deal nearly as good as B&N. Maybe we'll give Wal-Mart of Target a try. The discount is not worth the lost vacation time :thumbsup2
