Thanks for giving me the correct information. I was under the impression that Disney Transportation was provided for on-site guest only.

Nothing can or should be done!!!

A multi day Disney ticket entitles the holder to use of the Disney Transportation system. Staying on site does not get you any advantage there.


As for the "off site" guests overcrowding the buses? Where did you see that? I really doubt it's a fact, just one of the DIS theories.

I fail to see how it's "problematic" at DTD since Disney buses don't go from ANY parks to DTD. Years ago they did and it was an issue since folks tried to "park for free" but Disney wised up.

Off site guests have the right to use Disney Transportation too. Every ticket entitles the holder to use the transportation.

We live locally. We drive to Epcot and park. We decide we want to go to Artists Point for dinner--which would cost us $150 after tax and tip. Do you really think WDW would be STUPID enough to tell us we can't take the bus to Artists Point to spend money there?

This topic comes up every so often and gets ugly very quickly. We have posted numerous links in past showing that offsite guests are entitled to use Disney transportation.

Disney does nothing to prevent it because in fact they want to encourage offsite guests to visit the various resorts and turn into onsite guests. They also want to provide offsite guests with the ability to spend money at the resort outlets.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. I had no idea that it is the ticket and not being on site that entitles you to Disney transportation.
