Do DVC points take precidence over outside rentals? I thought there was availability at BWV online and was hoping to hear something from someone soon.

I also wanted BW. There were rooms availalbe from Disney at rack rates, but no rooms left for DVC points when the person I rented from called, so I couldn't stay there. SO no, apparently, DVC doesn't take priority.
