Closed resale, now what?

I closed my resale for OKW, and the deed recorded 10/13/03.

Now what?

I have received my permanent cards with my new member number. How about those of you out there with several contracts, do you have a different card for every contract? If so, which one do you carry with you? or does it matter?

Is there any other "items" I should be getting? I have not gotten a copy of the recorded deed yet. Will that come from Disney?

What about any other goodies? such as a pic of OKW. Sure would like to have one to go with my BCV pic.

It sounds as though you have received the member packet from DVC already (membership cards). There won't be any promotional items with a resale purchase and your deed will come from your closing company - not from Disney. I only carry one card with me- if I remember it.

To my knowledge, there were no lithographs given to OKW owners, but there are some water color prints available for sale at the resort.

Nink: I was not sure from your post if you already have a DVC contract, but if not, just wondering if you got a member book when you got your new membership cards. We are closing on a resale at OKW and was hoping we would get a member book from Disney with the cards. Thanks! Congrats on your closing at OKW!!

When my resale closed I received the following:

1. Member Guide 2002-2003 a couple of weeks after closing date.

2. A letter from member accounting telling me that my transaction had been recorded and that the annual dues for 2003 are paid in full.

3. A copy of the all the paper work from the Timeshare Closing Services and then eventually an original recorded deed for the timeshare.

4. Received the new 2004-2005 Vacation Planner a couple of weeks ago.

5. Membership Card-I had to email MS because this didn't show up with the original packet. Received that in the mail a couple of days ago.

When I received my member guide way back in Sept. I called MS and made my first reservation for a trip next May. They found me in the system with my SS# and gave me my member number for my records.

This is a second contract. My original contract is for BCV.

When everyone mentions a "packet" what I think of is more than my membership cards. That is all that I have received, from Disney. Did not receive a member book and I just got my updated member book a couple of days ago.

I have all my paperwork, except the deed, from the Timeshare Co. who processed the sale.

I will check the store at OKW in the next couple of weeks to see if they have a water color that will compliment my BCV picture.

Thanks for the info. I thought I might be missing out on some information.
