I have 275 points with a 2010 Dec use yr I am looking to transfer. I am looking to transfer them all at this time since We are only allowed one transfer a year. The price is $ 10.00 a point. contact me at pbeicht@satx.rr.com

How would that work? My understanding is that you can not transfer borrowed points, and the December 2010 use year doesn't start for a couple of months. Am I misunderstanding your post? or would the transfer not happen until December?

Thanks,
--Heather

Heather, You cannot transfer banked or borrowed points as you said. But member services says you can transfer points to another member and they can use them to borrow or bank if they want a future trip. That would give someone plenty of time to plan their trip. In the case of SSR the Tree houses really need the 11 month booking time frame. They are so popular and almost impossible to get without SSR points. Have a nice day.:cutie:

If I get a transfer of points from another member, do we have to have the same use year?

Thanks
Susan

You do not need to have the same use year. When points are transferred they keep the same use year they originally had. In other words when Dec 2010 SSR points are transferred to another person, they will always be treated as 2010 SSR points. They can be used for any reservation that takes place from 12/01/2010 to 11/30/2011. You can reserve at SSR 11 months in advance, others at 7 months.

Yes all the above is true. You can also bank points into the next year if you need some of them even into 2012. So it really gives you the advantage of extra points for the next couple years.:lovestruc
