thymed,
Thanks stinks! I hate it when front desk people are rude...

I was just at SSR in March - and the front desk CM was very kind and had my UPS package at the front desk for me. But, things could have changed since then. (change happens, right?)

Or - maybe since Yacht and Beach Club are a "convention" resorts, that could be the issue as well. I hope that is not the case in August when we go to BLT. I was planning on shipping a box...
Sue
I was also there. and had the same problem as you

Hi! I would like to send a gift card down as a surprise for a friend. She is staying at ASMo, so I would imagine they won't charge anything. Will she have to ask for it at the front desk? Or will they hand her the envelope, leave it in her room?

Just for future reference - if I were to send a gift card in an envelope to a friend at a convention resort, will they charge my friend to pick up her envelope? Or are envelopes and boxes handled differently?

I would send the gift card to your friend's house prior to her trip.

Has anybody sent a bottle of liquor with your package via UPS? I'm getting ready to send a box and have a plastic fifth of Seagrams 7 and was wondering if there's going to be any issues? It's just one bottle and have it packed with my other things. Thanks!

Never mind as I found out you cannot ship alcohol. Have to go offsite If I want my JD!

Can I send my packages to the UPS store on Vineland and pickup there or will I be ok sending directly to resort?

Does anyone have the shipping address for BayLake Towers? I need to have something shipped there for our trip in 2 wks.

I was planning on shipping a box to my resort ahead of our trip and have been reading through this thread for the past couple days. But, then I realized that, since we're flying Southwest, we each have 2 checked items allowed. This may be a silly question, but since I don't fly much, I don't know the answer....Can I check a box on an airline? This would be so much cheaper than shipping it through UPS.

Good Question! We also will be flying southwest in June. It will be 4 of us and I guess each of us get 2 checked bags. I was just thinking we could pack a suitcase or two with snacks to save on shipping. Does that sound right? It's been several years since I've flown so I am really out of practice.

Hi! I'm new arround here so first I'm going to introduce myself.
My name is Milena and I'm from Argentina. My family and I love to spend our vacations at Disney World!

I come to you with a problem. In other visits I have had packages purchased from Amazon delivered to the Pop Century Resort without much trouble. This time we are also staying at this resort but I can't seem to make Amazon accept the adress...

It tells me that the street name or number is invalid and I don't really know why :(. I just enter "1050 Century Drive"!

Could you please help me out? It's rather urgent, I should have the things deilvered by the end of next week at best. If they arrive later than that, as I return from a cruise on the 26 and stay 1 more night at a different hotel, I could come arround to pick up my packages but I don't know if they will keep them for me for such a long time. Is that possible?

Thank you!!!

Great thread with some great info. I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to here. Can I order wine (I'm assuming one of the online grocery stores there would have it) and have it shipped to my resort along with my groceries? Or is this not legal in Florida? I have used GardenGrocer in the past, with great results, but didn't order wine.

We are arriving late on Mar 3 (Saturday). We are ordering water and pop from Staples. When should we place the order?

I realize I'm answering my own question, but am posting here in case anyone else would like to know. I placed my order online last night with GardenGrocer.com. I added in my wine request in the 'comments' section at checkout, which then gives you a notification to call and confirm your request with Garden Grocer. I called and spoke with a nice lady who said the wine was no problem. They will ring it through as a separate order and deliver it with my groceries when I arrive. It was as easy as that! :wizard:

Has anyone had any experience shipping their luggage to the resort? Not the bags themselves, but a box containing all the things one would pack for a vacation? I've been looking at sending a box FedEx and if I can keep the weight reasonable it works out cheaper than checking a bag on Spirit (which I foolishly booked before learning how evil it was).

I assume it would work the same as shipping anything else, but anyone actually try it? Also, I haven't seen a definite answer regarding shipping from the hotel to home. I'm staying at ASMo. If I take everything already packaged and labeled up to the front desk will they send it out?

I read through this whole thread a few weeks ago, but now I have new questions and I don't remember them being answered here, but I'm not going all the way back through to double check!

what is the ideal time frame to plan for delivery on your package - day of check-in, day before or 2 days before?

when you check-in, how do you retrieve the package? would front desk know or do I ask someone else for the package?

I will be staying at CR. thx!

If it were me I would probably plan for delivery they day or 2 before arrival. UPS and fedex are pretty darn good at predicting delivery dates. From what I have heard on the boards (I have not done this personally) the front desk is who would handle the package for you.

It might not be a bad idea to call ahead of time and speak with someone to put a note on your account that a package will be arriving for you. I'd also include your reservation # on the packing label if possible just to be 110% sure!

Hope this helps..
