Closed for refurbishment QUESTION

Splash mountain closed for refurbishment Jan 1st till the 27th
OH MAN! That is our whole trip!
So here is my question.......
How often does a closed ride open a few days early??? We leave the 26th to go home.....do we have any chance of seeing it this time around????

I would like to know too... I hoping to get a little WDW Pixie Dust and the ride opens a few days early. We will be there Jan 23-27th.

While sometimes a ride opens early from refurbishment, in my experience, it is not the norm. Sorry.

Last year's "Buzz" refurb re-opened a week earlier than the date posted.

Buzz Lightyear opened a few days early in Feb 2006. Was I excited! It's one one my favorites! And yes, I max'ed the score!

Yes we were there in Feb and "Buzz" was suppose to be closed and guess what it was NOT . And my DS loved it! So happy he didn't miss it. This Feb "honey pot" is suppose to be closed when we are there so we all need a little PD so all our favorite rides are open when we are there. Good Luck to all!

I was kind of hoping it would open early too since we are there 1/20-1/25. Oh, well. I still haven't told DD it will be closed - she mentions Splash Mountain every time our trip is mentioned.

Yes my DS 5 mentions it alot too, which is why I am so sad!
We will be doing the very first night of the new pirate and princess party, so I am hoping that if they are just about done, maybe they will open it during that party anyway.........we will see right.
