The metal roof seams are being recoated thorough June 29 at WL and a reminder that Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue will be closed for refurbishment August 5 through December 31.

The only active discounts I know of for your arrival date is a Spring Passholder room-only discount that is good now through June 14 and a military room-only discount that is good through the end of September. You might want to also check AAA, if you're a member and Expedia sometimes has rack rate discounted rooms.

Thanks. I called yesterday...there were rooms available in the lodge, but not willing to pay all that money. We will just have to suck it up Besides me and my husband are never in our room (only to sleep for about 7 hrs). Both are crazy Type A personalities.

It's all good we're going to Disney in 27 days!!!

With all of our worries or changes along the way, when it comes down to it, it always works out for the best! I am very excited about your villa stay and look forward to your reports when you get back. Any recommendations or tips will be greatly appreciated.

13 days!!! This will be my sister's first time at WL. My dad and I tried WL last year and loved it. It's right up there along with the Poly for favorite resort.

We had the worst of the worst Standard room too( the one that looks out onto a corner of a roof) and it still didn't mar our enjoyment of the resort.

We are here
Arrived about 1130a. We were greeted by Gloria who is a sweetheart. She escorted us up to the 7th floor where Dee helped check us in. Room wasn't quite ready but before she was done it ended up available. We are facing the WVL and honestly it is better than the inner courtyard view. It's very quiet.Room is clean and is it does not feel dark with the enclosed balcony.I actually like the privacy. . We are waiting for the loung to open up this evening but so far this CL experience beats the others we have done been to before. I will try and get some photos posted soon.

13 days will fly by . We feel the same way about the WL.....the Poly is our favorite, but the WL runs a very close second .

We were able to change to Wilderness Lodge for our visit next month, so I am happily back reading!

We have a Courtyard View booked. Is there anything special I should request if I'm hoping for a view of Silver Creek Springs Pool? (Or should I just say that??? )

Congrats on getting the WL . Requesting "inner courtyard" should be sufficient for the pool, but if it were me, I'd put "view of silver creek springs pool" or "view of main pool", just to be more specific . Have a great trip and enjoy the WL .

The latest tripadvisor post says WL CL guests can do the special AKL safari for like $100 each. But when I emailed IPO last week with this inquiry they said it was for AKL Guests only.

Anyone got any scoop on whether WL CL guests can partake of some special safari at AKL or not? Maybe it depends on occupancy of the hotels at the time???

I am very excited, this will be our first stay at WL and we will be celebrating my hubbys Bday!
We need a room with a roll in shower as my daughter is in a wheelchair, according to Disney they now have a king size bed AND a queen size bed in the roll in shower room which will be perfect for the 3 of us.. I just wanted to see if anyone has seen or stayed in these rooms and if it is in fact a King and Queen bed.

So True! My husband always says to me "don't overthink everything" Things always work out the way they are supposed to.
I will report back when we get back about the Villas...I'm sure we will be in love with WL just as you all are

We have alot of special celebrations that week...our 27th anniversary, my In-laws 50th annivesary, and our grandsons 4th birthday

I will request view of main pool. We had one of these rooms a couple of years ago. I didn't know the difference in the possible views, so I just lucked into it. I loved the view of the pool, and am hoping to have one again.

Tick tock...tick tock...28 days until we arrive at VWL for the first time. We had some points in holding and no 2BR's were available at this late of a date at VWL so we will spend one night at BLT prior to a week at VWL. Can't wait. Any picture requests?

We will be staying in a 2 BR in August, so I guess any and all pictures will be appreciated! I am interested in the kitchen since we have never had one before, and maybe the closets, washer/dryer, balcony, paths outside to bus and dock, beach area... haha-aren't you sorry you asked?! Truthfully, I will appreciate anything, but mostly the things that are unique to the villas v. staying in the lodge. Do they play the music in the villas or is that just in the lodge? I heard it is very quiet there and I am looking forward to that. Oh-the pool and the spa would be nice too! Besides pictures, any reporting on the villas would be wonderful-the condition of the beds, bathrooms, and all that.

Yes, it's my understanding that they have changed things and it's now only available to AKL guests. The Wanyama Safari is only available to guests of AKL or AKV, and the Sunrise Safari is only for AKL CL guests. Sorry!

I've had a change of ticker! We'll arrive 10/28 for 7 nights of WL CL. Thank goodness for a 35% Bounceback.
