Those cupcakes look amazing! I have yet to try one there, even though we go there every day when we stay at WL. So yummy

I asked the CL manager and I looked on the internet, and there doesn't seem to be a carriage ride from WL anymore, only FW. But, that doesn't mean that couldn't change. Rooftop viewing was only a limited, special occasion event so there was never a guarantee that it would be offered. In fact, when we had it scheduled last year, there was lightning in the area so it was canceled at the last minute. It's easy getting over to FW, is there a reason why you wouldn't want to do the carriage ride from there? It's an easy walk, bus or boat ride to FW.

Besides a cake, CA Grill, strawberries (or other in room dining celebration), Wishes cruise, carriage ride... I can't think of other ideas in the WL area. You could take one of the boats right before Wishes. They usually will stop in the lake so guests can watch and it's free.

Thanks again for checking. We did the sleigh ride once and what was kind of nice was the experience to just walk out front, have the ride be there, then be dropped of back in front to be ready to do something else. Walking/taking a bus to get to FW, then doing the same thing to get back, kind of takes away the enjoyment of it, especially since it's only about 20 minutes anyway.

Perhaps it could also be that outside of the Christmas lights on the campers, we've never had an enjoyable experience at FW. We did the Hoop-Dee-Doo Review and none of us enjoyed it (and the food was terrible). We did the smores at the campfire with Chip and Dale and it too was a letdown. Not what we were expecting - crowded and unpleasant for the young ones and not worth the bus ride/walk IMHO. For all the times we've been to DW, I could count on one hand the bad experiences we've had and two were at FW. The DW getting food poisoning when we stayed at the Poly one year and the utter lack of any real "boardwalk" experience when we stayed at the overpriced Boardwalk Inn were the others. We know our comfort zone is at WL and stay close to home.

They don't sell graham crackers outside like they do at FW, but they do sell them at the Mercantile (upper right):

You can see Wishes from the beach and another great spot is the dock for the Red and Blue Flag boats.

That chocolate fudge one with the carmel inside was my favorite. It was awesome!!!!

We also had the Oreo Bonbon one at the Boardwalk Bakery, and the Strawberry Lemonade one at the Contempo Cafe. My DD18 took the other back to college for her roommates (the Carrot Cake one, and the Smores one)and she said the Smores one was also very good. We were on a cupcake quest like in the cupcake thread!!
