What would you call the rooms just to the left of them? Just inner courtyard? Thx!

Yeah, in particular those are at the West end of the South wing, but they are inner courtyard view. There are similar rooms in the North wing below where the picture was taken.

I think requesting near lobby for an inner courtyard view makes sense so that if you don't get a Bear Face room you will get close in one of the wings.

You should be fine with just an "Inner Courtyard" request. The Bear Face rooms have balconies that face directly towards the lake, but are slightly further from it. You can get great lake views from the wing room balconies, you just have to look to the East rather than straight out.

Just booking courtyard view doesn't guarantee a lake view though since some rooms in the South wing overlook the Villas courtyard and don't have a lake view.

Enjoy your trip, Bay Lake is beautiful. We watched the boat parade from our balcony on the North Wing and enjoyed it.

We're looking forward to it. My mom really loved the photos on the front page and the idea of morning coffee or evening drinks looking out at the lake/waterfall areas in the inner courtyard sold her on the resort. I had started out in a Standard, but upgraded to Courtyard View for her. I'm thinking of putting my request as

Hopefully I won't repeat my last deluxe stay....I was full balcony at the BC upper floor but a tree was growing right in front of my balcony Basically a "woods view".

What is the policy on the mugs! I have a refill mug that is 2 years old! Will I be able to use it or is there a bar code on the machines! Will I have to purchase another one? This is my first time @ WL!

I have brought my older mug to use but I drink water. The RIFD machines will dispense ice and water without a chip.

Just tried to add a room for my sister in June and the Lodge and most other deluxes are sold out.

Isn't it crazy?! Is it like this every June? This will be our first June visit, as we usually visit in July/August in the summer. We're not even there during SWW and I keep looking to get an idea of resort capacity while we're there and you're right, almost every Deluxe is completely full. I feel very lucky to have two room-only reservations at Deluxes, but I'm a bit worried about how crazy it will be at the resort. We're used to having the beach to ourselves and finding a seat quickly at TL. It doesn't look like this will be the case one month from now

But, keep checking daily for availability for your DS. I've noticed that it has been changing daily, at least when we're there 6/23 - 7/3. One day there will be nothing at WL, and the next a SV room will open up. CR, GF and YC have been pretty consistently full, but AKL, BC, BWI and Poly have rooms. People cancel and make changes all the time, so don't give up. In a pinch, could your DS stay at FW?

I'd love to know if this is how it always is in June. We've always avoided June because all the schools in the south are out so we assumed it was busier. We usually go in the summer when schools in the south are back in session. When I've looked for availability during July/August and even Christmas, right before our arrival, they've never been full. Even though we have ADRs, FP+s and don't need the pools much, I'm really worried about the crowd-level. What are your dates?

Speaking of the resorts being booked up, I find this to be true for a lot of the summer...maybe the deluxes are booked secondary to room closures at the Poly? Plus TAs having blocks of rooms? Crowds always make me nervous Your trip will be fantabulous!

Even though some Poly Longhouses are closed, there is availability there, which may be due to the fact so many are avoiding and/or changing to the other MK Resorts. I've had people posting everyday on all my threads that they've switched from Poly due to the construction and Nanea Pool closure. It seems like such a mass exodus which makes me mildly considering a change from BWI to Poly in hopes that it would be almost empty. I find Poly to feel really crowded whenever I'm there, so since so many are bailing and there's availability, I almost thought it would be better there than when there's no construction. I love walking to Epcot and DHS, but I'm more curious than anything to experience Poly when it's not crowded.

Poor Janetb is the only one at Poly in August. Yeah, I really do not like the GF refurb...it's nice but it's what I expect from Portofino Bay or somewhere not Disney..and the price...yeah for 3 nights there I have 7 nights OFC. Did I check, of course...not available. DH doesn't want GF...and I want OFC, I know I LOVE it and it is worth it! Yesterday, I needed to make an ADR change and I sent an email, they called me within 10 minutes!!!

Poly rooms are awesome, but you know how construction walls make me sad....and no Volcano pool, I just can't do it. That's totally my opinion though. An empty resort would be very peaceful even with cranes
