Checked in on Tuesday and having a great time! We have a standard view on 6th floor. Yes, it's a view of the service parking lot if we look down, however there is a perfect unobstructed view of the fireworks! We sit on our balcony and watch every night. So fantastic!
Those higher North Wing SV rooms are a great deal. I hope the rest of your stay is magical.

We changed our dates... still CL for the first time, at WL Nov.8-19. Alaska had a seat sale and we were able to save money changing our flight.

Woohoo so excited.

We are spending 2D/1N Apr 26-27. We first booked PO-R, but changed it to WL! This is the first time we'll be staying at WL - first time for Deluxe. We will be celebrating our son's 15th birthday, and we can't wait!!! Thanks for all of the fantastic information!!! :goodvibes

We arrived this morning around 10:20 am and our room was ready. We are in room 5324, which is a one bedroom villa. The layout is very nice. Plenty of room to store things. When we checked in, the CM told me they had just finished our room yesterday. She also said that most of the refurb is done, except for a few details here and there.

The room looks very nice. Though it does look like they were in a rush tiling around the bottom of the tub. The wood around the tub is pushed in so the tile is sort of sticking out. No biggie in the grand scheme of things.

Our room doesn't have much of a view. We see the top of the walkway from the lodge to the villas and the bus stop. Sat out there for a few minutes while waiting for my sister to get here and it was very peaceful.

The weather was horrible , but we didn't let it stop us . We went to MK and a bus pulled up just as we got to the bus stop. Grabbed a bite to eat and then the down pour began. Bought ponchos and continued to due our thing.

We had dinner at Chef Mickeys and took the boat back to the resort. It was so nice having that option.

As the week goes on, I will share more of what we experience during our first stay at VWL. So far , so good.

That is so great to hear. Any category room at WL can be awesome. Enjoy your trip!

Hi Kook! :wave2: can you add us to the list? It will be just DH and I on our first ever adults only trip!

Aug 20-24 WL :cool1:

We will be there from september 14th until the 21st.

It will be our immediate family´s 4th stay at the lodge, but will be the first for my parents and siblings, there will be 16 of us :cool1:

I have one question only, since we live in Mexico, we usually order quite a few things off amazon and a couple of stores that don´t ship to Mexico, and I have never had the hotel charge me anything for storing a few (or many) boxes for a few days before our trip, but Reading the information on this thread, I think that I understand that people are charged a few dollars for every package and for every day it is stored?

TIA

This morning I used the shower gel I used during our stay at WL last September...The scent of it made me think I am in the shower of our WL room :):)

Do you know this feeling when a scent is linked with your brain and makes you remember something special?

Would love to book a vacation now :rotfl:

I don't know how to post a link here, so I am not sure if that will work. There is a thread all about smells at WDW here on the DIS. It is fun to read through. I am a total Bath and Body Works addict and I am trying out different scents to help me decide which will be our vacation scent. That way, when we come home and use it, we will always have a scent memory of our trip.

Hello,

If anyone is at the WL now can you tell me how many electrical outlets there are in the room by the beds? I am looking to see how easy/hard it will be for 2 CPAP machines to be plugged in. Wondering if we will need 2 extension cords or not.

Thank you!!

We have had no problem having items shipped to WL, and they are available for us to pick up at no charge. Only Disney convention resorts charge to have items shipped in, so that is another advantage of WL.

I am very excited we will definitely be staying WL CL from Sept 18 - 23. This is our first time at WL and first time CL. Kook take the ? away we are ding it

What an EXCELLENT idea! I have a strong scent memory too, but never thought of "using" it in this way... amber is a particular fave of mine, while you're trying stuff out :wave2:

There was an outlet between the bed and the nightstand. It is easy to reach, not buried behind furniture. I can't remember if it had two outlets or four, but I think the clock may have been plugged into one of them. Hopefully someone who is there now can check for you. :)

You should be able to, but again, I've never personally asked for it to-go.

Don't they still offer the cobbler at TL? Probably a better chance of getting it to go there I would think.

Just booked a ten day stay at WL for June. I ended up with a courtyard view instead of my typical woods view - so it will be nice to have a little change of scenery.

We are staying October 20-27 at the Wilderness Lodge Villas. We are super excited! :yay:

I have a quick question (which would probably be answered if I read through the thread) how long does it take to walk from the Lodge to Trails End and the campfire? We have 2 little guys and a double stroller will be used.

Thanks so much!!!!

It takes about twenty minutes to walk to Trail's End from the WL. But since you walk past the ponies in the corals, you may want to give yourself a little more time.

Here are the ponies in their coats on a cold morning in January. They looked cute like that. :)

I'm not sure how far it is to the campfire. :confused3

Thank you so much!!! And thanks for the heads up about the ponies...my little guys will not be able to walk by them without stopping. :)

The Chip and Dale campfire is at the Meadows area in the middle of Fort Wilderness, which is about half a mile from the stables and marina area. You can hop on an internal FW bus though and it is a pretty quick trip. We have never done the walk to the Meadows, but enjoy the walk between WL and FW.
