Do the in room Cuisinart coffee makers take special type of pods or will the K-cups work in the machines?

Do the in room Cuisinart coffee makers take special type of pods or will the K-cups work in the machines?![]()
Hello! I just booked our first WL trip and very excited! Couldn't believe when the CM priced out my unique code and we could get WL cheaper than POR! It will be me, DH, DS5, and DD1. Our dates are 6/18-6/23. I've started reading this thread to educate me on everything WL has to offer...so much! So, of course I have questions! We have a standard room booked. With two small kids, we may be returning to the room for naps. What rooms would be easiest for me to request? Is there any helpful hints for WL with little kids anyone would like to share?

Congratulations! You should have a great trip. The map on the fourth page of this thread shows where the standard rooms are. Your two main options are North or South wing, and the North wing standard view ones have balconies that face the Magic Kingdom, but are above a loading dock area so you might want to request a high floor for a quieter location with a better view. On the South side the standard view rooms open to the lobby, which we really like but does mean there can be some noise from the lobby restaurant in the evenings. WL can be great with little kids. There is a kiddie pool that is right next to the main pool, and there is a small playground area near the beach on Bay lake. You can take a larger boat to MK and not have to fold a stroller, but the smaller boats and buses will require folding it, but that's ok. Go at the kids pace and have a wonderful time!

I'm just curious. WL is always my resort of choice!!!
Sure! I just requested the vacation planning DVD at disneyparks.com and included our planned visit dates. Within a day or two my husband and I each received emails with the same offer. The offer was similar to the summer public one (up to 30% off), but also included PH added to tickets of 5 days or more. Hope that helps! Good luck!
Sweet, I am checking out activities to keep everyone happy as well. Boat rental is a great idea!!Thank you Pas130, Very very excited to go back. It was sad leaving...so much more to do and not enough time! Looking forward to a boat rental next time!
I'm sure it was hard leaving, but isn't it great knowing when you'll return? It's getting close to ADR time!Just back from the Lodge and it was wonderful! Thank you for all the great advice in this thread. We originally were booked CL, but (long story) ended up with woods view. Didn't request anything, and ended up on the first floor pretty close to everything. Very quiet and oh so nice! The resort is so beautiful and we took tons of pictures. The pool wasn't too crowded except for yesterday afternoon...very busy! And of course a bounce back offer was definitely booked!! November 2nd - 7th!![]()
Welcome and I'll add your dates to the Lodgers' Log.Hi, we're off for our first stay at WL from 18-23rd May: can't wait!
We've booked a woods view room but I would prefer not to have the afternoon sun blazing onto the balcony. Could you please tell me which side would I need to be on to avoid this?
If you're on a cash reservation, as long as VWL is available, it's very easy to cancel BLT and extend VWLJust had to post that we just got to the Lodge sitting at Whispering Canyon and we love it here! This is our first stay and as I thought would happen no one wants to switch to BLT.
On a side note we are in a 1 bed on the 3rd floor facing the bus stop kind of. I guess our room has been refurbished for a whole 10 days!
This is just a guess, but the mattresses should have been replaced. At least they were at WL when it was soft-rehabbed. But maybe the DVCs replace them in between rehabs since there is a lot more time in between DVC rehabs than non-DVC.Can anyone who has stayed in a refurb'd villa tell me if it felt like the mattresses were new? Or maybe someone has read about this in another thread? I can't seem to find out if this hard goods refurb includes mattresses or just the linens. Maybe they switch out the mattresses on a regular basis so that is why it isn't listed in the descriptions. Thanks!
Welcome and I'll add your dates, too. You can request a stepping stool from Lodgekeeping. If you book a bunk, you will have a little bit more room if you're using a PiP.Hello! I'd be happy to add you and I know just how you feel about this winter. Wasn't yesterday just perfect? 73 here. But, Tuesday we may get up to 6" of snow. UGH. Keep thinking happy, WL thoughts, HockeyMomRFour weeks from today we will be at WL!!!
Kook - could you please add our dates April 20-26 to the Lodger's Log. Celebrating my birthday which is May 4. Have been enjoying this thread, we are looking forward to experiencing a new resort. Also, I see you are from Northern Virginia. We live in Anne Arundel County Maryland, so with this crazy winter, can't wait for some Florida Sunshine!!!
