Yes, that's right. The 5th floor of BLT has the bridge that leads to the 4th floor of CR. Once on the 4th floor, you must take the escalator or elevator if you have a wheelchair or stroller, to the monorail. The monorail track doesn't obstruct your BLT view since it's not directly in front nor that close and it's rather narrow.

Thanks, Kook!! I kind of assumed that, but then I wondered why everyone always suggested to request 8 th floor or higher.

Unfortunately, my parents and I will not be staying at CR in January. When I went to book our vacation through The Hub, there was only Atrium CL left! We opted for two weeks at BC instead.
I'm sorry you had to change, but people do cancel and change their reservations all the time so something might open up. If you're still interested in CR, you might want to check periodically for availability.

Suites discount

Just wanted to share that apparently suites are available at a discount for early-mid December. We will be staying at the Bay Lake View VP Suite for 10 nights at this time of December and I was able to secure a 5% discount for the entire stay. May not be as interesting as the 30% for regular rooms, but makes for a nice saving nonetheless.

Happy to share thoughts and pictures of the updated suite after our stay, in case that's of interest!

Cheers,
:welcome: to the DIS and the CR/BLT thread!

Thank you for posting about your discount rate on the suites. Something is always better than nothing:thumbsup2

You're welcome. I think people sometimes like a more commanding view. The MKV rooms do have a view of the parking lot below, so maybe people like to be higher so they feel further away from it.

Walt Disney World says it will begin stationing lifeguards at its largest hotel pools during all operating hours and then locking them down overnight, six months after a young boy drowned while a pool was unguarded.

Disney says its largest and most popular "feature" pools will begin opening at either 7 a.m. or 9 a.m. and closing at 11 p.m. Lifeguards will be on duty at all times while the pools are open.

But guests will no longer be permitted to swim in the feature pools after hours. Disney plans to install fences around any of those pools that are not already gated, a process that will begin in the coming months as hotels roll through their regular renovation cycles.

Only smaller and unguarded "quiet" pools at some hotels will remain accessible at all hours.

Disney has about two dozen hotels and time-share resorts across its sprawling property.

Can you please add me to the list....September 21-29 CR/garden wing...but am contemplating renting points for BLT!!!

Congrats on booking the CR :goodvibes.

Excited to be at the CR one month from today. I guess one month plus 3 days since we are going to Georgia first. Anyone ever stayed at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation? We've never been before, but it looks beautiful.

Hi! Relatively new to DIS. Headed to CR 11/30-12/08! Very excited to stay Atrium CL! Please add me to the Logorail:cool1:

Can anyone tell me how far of a walk it is from Atrium CL to laundry facilities? It's in the GW, correct? Family of 5 staying nine days-I'm going to have to do laundry at some point:(

I can't help with the laundry question as we've never stayed at the CR, but wanted to say welcome to the CR thread and I hope you have a magical stay at the CR :goodvibes. We are trying CR CL for the first time in December and I am very excited to give it a try.

Loved Atrium CL during our August trip. Most dreaded part was the hike to GW to do the laundry. It is on the 2nd floor of the GW. Take elevator when you enter the building. Not too far down the hall. It is on the right. Has hardly any washer/dryers considering the size of the resort and many were broken. You do have to go down the elevator from the 12th floor and exit the building to get to the Garden Wing. They should put a laundry room in the Tower.

You will love Atrium CL. It is amazing. This should make up for the horrible laundry situation.

Thanks Avery619! Not exactly what I was hoping to hear about the laundry situation:( But I am glad to hear Atrium CL was amazing!

Do you have any idea how many machines were in the laundry room?

Maybe 6 washers. 6 dryers. Not all operable. First come, first serve. There were always people waiting to use them when I was there. I hate spending so much of my vacation time doing laundry.

Keep thinking about Atrium CL, not laundry.

We stayed for 9 nights, so wifey did the laundry. you can do it at the Garden Wing or the Bay Tower building. Wifey chose the Garden Wing. its not a far walk.

We also stayed Atrium CL room #4847 and loved it. They were putting brand new TV's in all the rooms the day we checked out. Sept 23rd

Congratulations!!! Looks like you will be staying in style!!

Enjoy!

Thanks. We r renting points for blt and akv split stay and I am soooooo excited!! I have always wanted to stay at the CR and my kids picked akv so best of both! Making amazing memories!!!
