Loving the stay so far! CL is great and Scott and Anita and the rest of the group are wonderful hosts. Ate supper at Yachtsman for the first time last night and it was one heck of a meal. The NY strip was cooked just how I like them, wifey's filet was charred just how she likes it and her sweet potato casserole was very good. However, the highlight of the night was the truffle mac and cheese. WOW Carrie was our server and she did a great job despite having one of them high maintenence tables that was overly demanding sitting behind us. They seemed to want her to be their very own server. They interupted her twice while she was taking our order! But, in the end, I have to say that was the best dinner we have ever had on site! Wonderful evening. Oh, and can I say that while my home state has been slaughtered with yet another winter storm while I was here, the weather has been beautiful. Perfect evenings so far. Saw the end of Illuminations from our balcony last night after riding ToT on extra hours and strolling home from the studios. Great location.

For now, all the coffee makers are Mr Coffee style with the basket filter. 10-12 cup. Sometimes you'll get a 4-6 cup maker, but you can request a bigger one if you need it. They don't provide filters. You'll get a single pouch of prefiltered coffee when you arrive and each service day. If you need more, bring your own.

As much as I wanted a trip over my birthday, my daughter came to me and asked if we would go with her and her husband over their anniversary in September.

How do you say no?!

So we booked a 2BR villa from September 21-29

Boyfriends first trip, half of the time with the kids, it's gonna be great!

Also, if anyone has any tips for adult things to do since we don't do a lot of rides, I'd love to hear about it! We do plan to do Cirque

Just got room assignment. 4230....not sure but I think it is boardwalk view. Just left international gateway on way back to check it out.

I believe the boardwalk view rooms are odd numbered.

What are your plans if/when you return? Would you go at a different time of the year for better temps and would you change your usual requests?

This was our 4th time going the last week of January and it was the only time where the weather was less than spectacular. Normally, it's mid 70's and sunny the whole week. We will still go the last week of January. I think we just got unlucky this year. Seeing how we have never gotte nany of our requests ever, I think next time, we just won't make any.

They will give you more pouches if you ask for them. We found that out this last trip.

If you are there on points, you are supposed to pay for extras. Members don't get anything for free. We pay for everything. If not when you get it, when your dues go up next year.

definitely Jelly Rolls! with the dueling pianos, great fun for the over 21 crowd. also, they have karaokee at kimonos at the Swan resort right next door.

take an eveing to just see the bands in world showcase. British Invasion, Off kilter, I think there is a mabd in Morrocco.

I'm actually planning on requesting far from elevator -- since we'll be in a standard view 1 BR, I don't want to be near the front entrance and bothered with the noise. I figured that far from elevator (I don't mind stairs) would probably get me a quieter and nicer view in a standard view, but someone please correct me if that's not right.

I think it's a deal. Our Standard room 35% off stay got bumped up to Club. If I get a similar discount next time I will book Club. We don't need much food so we made breakfast and dinner out of the lounge offerings. In 8 days we only had 5 meals outside of the lounge.

This time we may be getting a standard view studio and I was wondering if there's standard studios close to the elevators ? Because I'd like to request that for convenience. Standard view (on DVC points) are along the main drive, looking out towards the parking lot. You might be close to the elevator bank and you might not be. But with three reservations, you might want to just stick to being close to each other. That could be tough.
