Hello,

I have an 8:05am ressie for 1900 Park Fare on Dec 20. I am staying at SSR. I was wondering what would be the best way to get to the GF. Should I take a bus or a taxi? How long should I plan to get there? I have never done this before.:confused3 I was thinking about leaving an hour before my ressie if I take the Bus. This would have me on a bus at 7am. Do the buses run this early? Thank you so much for your input!

You cannot get to GF from SSR via a direct bus(no direct bus service between resorts). You must switch at MK and take monorail/bus/boat from there, but do not know what time these begin. I always have a car so really am not an expert. I would take a taxi to be sure. An hour between may not be good use of time or even get you there on time.

thank you. If I were to take a taxi...does anyone know how much it would cost? How long does it take to get from SSR to GF? TIA!!

I had a 8:30am res at 1900 park fare last week and was also staying at SSR. I was pretty nervous about it, but the buses started at 7am. I told the bus driver that we had an early breakfast at the GF. Since it was early, there were only 3 groups on that bus. She asked each group what time their res was for and where. She dropped the 1st group off at Wilderness lodge, the next group at Magic Kingdom (the original destination) and then dropped us off right at the Grand Floridian. We were there at 8am or a little earlier. So it is possible, just get on the first bus and tell your driver.

It was so nice considering how much worry I had put into it. :thumbsup2

we always take a cab when we have an early character breakfast reservation. the cost is approximately 15 bucks with a tip to and from anywhere on wdw property. it much easier to just take a cab less transfering, worrying if you are going to make a reservation and you can sleep later. imo taking a cab is def worth the $$$$

I thought there were buses for breakfast buffets? Does anyone know if this is true? I have one for the GF and we are leaving from POP. Does anyone know if the buses do this?

There is no bus transportation between resorts. Unless you get lucky like one of the prior posters ~ but I wouldn't count on it! I was going from SSR to Boma @ AKL & got really lucky when an AK bus came to drop off a group of people & I asked the driver if he was going back to AK, he said that park closed 30 minutes ago but that he was going to AKL...hop in!!!!! It was awesome!

I would take a cab to the GF from POP or just take a bus to MK & hop on the monorail. Be sure to allow 1.5 hours for all that though!

We did Bus to MK to Monoral to get the GF for 1900 PF Dinner. I'm assuming you can do the same in the morning.
