Which are the best hotels that are close to the convention center? I have to attend a convention in March and don't know where to stay that is nice.

The Peabody is walking distance and is a true four star hotel, just gorgeous with great service!

I am going to the convention center Nov 27 - Dec 2nd and rented a condo in Vista Cay Resort which I believe was designed by the same architects that designed Windsor Hills. It is supposedly within walking distance to the convention center. I will post a report from there next week. We got a 3 bedroom/3bathroom townhouse for around $100 a night.

I would recommend the Hampton Inn on Universal Boulevard. We stayed there this year and it was so peaceful, clean and comfy.

FYI that's a 1-2+ mile walk, depending on which part of the Convention Center your convention is located in. It is not what I would call "adjacent" to the Convention Center.

Nice for a moderate place, but I think the OP was looking for something more upscale based on the use of the word "best." :)

Yes that is correct. I would love the Peabody but I am not sure my boss would go for that. There are 4 of us going and we all want our own rooms. I was looking at the Rosen Center or Rosen Plaza. Are those nice?

I've heard mixed reviews of both. If you can get them for a great price, maybe, but no way would I pay rack for them. Food there is expensive. Go "across the street" to the B-Line Diner at the Peabody for good comfort food at a "reasonable" price.

We stayed at the Homewood Suites not far from the convention center. It was great with LOTS of room to spread out.

:thumbsup2
