Do you think Universal will close for capacity March 13-17? I am planning on buying annual pass but scared the park will be closed due to crowds. I heard Disney doesn’t even have reservations for that week.

That's certainly going to be a busy few days, but even on holidays lately, Universal has been far less crowded on weekdays than weekends. Monday and Tuesday, especially, should be a breeze.

March 12-15 is a school break for our kids (in Georgia), so I would expect crowds to be on the larger side even on Monday. The rooms appear to be in short supply that week, so maybe someone has Spring Break then...

We'll be at the parks 3/16-19 - it's spring break in our town up here in Ohio, but we're the only city in our area off that particular week. Hoping it's not too crazy! LOL

Spring break for Orange County schools (Orlando) is during that time. It might be crowded the whole time.

I expect it’s going to be crowded the whole time. There is zero park availability at Disney World that week (for March 13-19).

(This is also spring break for our area in Tennessee- it’s true that not every school has spring break that week, but there are a significant chunk that do.)

I just looked at hotel availability at Universal- zero availability for March 13-17. (Their reservation system is somewhat wonky, so maybe there are other packages available.)

I would expect each park hits “capacity” every day, probably relatively early. Parks are open 8 am-10 pm, with early entry for hotel guests at 7 am for both parks.

I would expect that week to be equivalent to the week between Christmas and New Years, what with it being spring break locally and with the way Universal has been throwing tickets at locals. I would look at reports from those days and see how you feel about things.

We are planning park days after 4 PM so I am hoping if it hits capacity during day it will open back up in the evening. It hard to tell since Universal doesn’t take reservations. We are staying offsite and I really don’t want to buy tickets if we can’t get in. Guess we will just hope for the best to see how it goes

Is Universal operating at 100%? It’s hard to keep up with all the changes. I think Disney is still at reduced crowds.

They are operating at a similar capacity to Disney.
...and what capacity is Disney at? 50% of total? 25% of total? I'm trying to figure out what the reduced capacity actually is at Universal Studios and Island of Adventure. I understand that the capacity will likely be reached when we go for Spring Break, but I still don't know what that capacity is. Just trying to gauge the overall crowds. Thank you!

Disney is at 35%.
