Clocks on the Magic?

I thought that I read recently that there were no clocks in the staterooms on the Magic. We're going to be on the Magic in a few weeks and are compiling our packing list. Can anyone confirm if clocks/alarm clocks are or are not in the staterooms?

Just tossing this into the conversation - on our Wonder cruise in October we didn't have a clock in the room. I asked about it (since it does have the iPod dock that some people may be counting on), and was told that there aren't many of the smaller type of clock that the Magic class ships used to have that are still working. So they keep them somewhere and only give you one if you ask for it. Also told that they are hoping to get "new, different" clocks that are more user-friendly. The old ones were not easy to navigate.

This is the type of clock that used to be on the Wonder (and I believe the Magic) in the past.

Don't know if the Magic is the same (but I think it should be) there was no clock on the phone on our Wonder cruise

DH is happy to hear that we could ask for a clock, but we'll also go prepared with a travel alarm just in case!

We cruised in October and there was no clock what so ever. Only on your wave phone I guess. We just used our iphone as a clock/alarm

I was on the Magic in August and was very surprised to see no clock, i never use it for an alarm but i do like to be able to see the time if i wake up in the night. We went to guest services to ask if we could have one and was told there were non on the ship.
Later we attended the Platinum/Gold CC meet and was talking to an officer. He asked if everything was ok and i explained that i was disappointed there were no clocks in the Staterooms, he took our room number and by the time we arrived back into our room there was a clock.

I have an old iPod I use as an alarm clock that I had brought with me (I discovered I like the sounds better than my old buzzing alarm). I was actually glad there was no clock. I didn't need to use the sticky note I specifically brought along to cover the clock up. The light from the clock was so bright on the Dream last year, I kept a piece of clothing covering it during the night because it kept me awake!

You can dim the display, and even turn it off. But, as on the classic ships, figuring out how to do that can be an issue.

I wound up turning the clock around with a washcloth over the display against the wall.
