Can't for the life of me remember if there is a digital clock in the staterooms on the Fantasy. Can anyone clear this up so that I don't pack my own if I don't need it?

Was on the Fantasy in December and they were in the process of removing them. My stateroom had one, however I was linked with 3 other rooms who did not have a clock.

There wasn't one on the Magic last July but there was the previous year or so. I think that they're removing them because people just don't use them any more. I know that we typically use our iPhone or iPad because at least we know how to set the alarm on that (it was too much trouble to figure it out on the stateroom clock). Also, I hated the clocks because they were so bright it kept me up at night. I ended up covering it with something (figured out how to turn down the lighting on it on the last day only - duh). There was a thread about it recently so I think all of the ships are removing them.

Good question. There was one the last time we were on the Fantasy (NYE 14/15), but I guess not anymore. I'm glad I read this thread.

I was on the Dream in November and there was no clock.

We were in a veranda room on deck 6 of Fantasy. The only clock in our room was on the phone display by the bed. We just used our own phone for an alarm.

We were on the Feb 6th Fantasy sailing and did not have a clock/radio in our room.

I'm glad to hear they are gone as my alarm went off my first morning really early from the previous guest in the room!

Ugh. I guess I have to add another thing to buy and bring with us! My 4 year old needs a digital clock in sight so he can tell whether it's late enough to get out of bed. Otherwise he'll be jumping on us starting at 5am! Can we request one from guest services?

Thanks for all the replies! For some reason I wasn't getting any notifications that there were replies to this thread, so I'm late checking back in on it.
Yes, it's nice to know how early or late it is when you wake up in darkness. We don't have cell phones and I don't feel like reaching for my watch and figuring out which button to push for the light when I'm half-asleep. I'd be interested to know as well if you can request a clock or whether we'll have to bring one with us.

While we've had a clock in all our rooms (except the last one) on DCL, we have a small, battery-powered one we bring on trips. It seems that it's really hit or miss as to whether there are now clocks in the room, or even if one would be available if you request one. I'd suggest investing in a travel clock.

Terrible news. I don't want my phone out at all for the 7 nights and I don't own a watch.
