Climbing Plants ?

Hi All,
Im going to put a trellis up over a grotty fence in my garden.I have no idea - what plants can I plant to climb up the rellis and be quite colourful,yet easy to look after with little knowledge!??

You can never kill a clematis Montana a vigourous climber, but it needs keeping under control ie chop back at the end of each growing season. It has lovely pale pink flowers and a rich green leaf.
