Clever signs for Jedi Training Academy?

I do know about the tips from this board to have your child hold a sign up to be picked at the Jedi Training Academy. We did this last year and it worked. I wanted to be a little creative this time with the sign for my DS6, but am drawing a blank (read: I have no imagination :confused3). I was hoping some of you may share some of your ideas that you have used or seen.

The Force is Strong with this One and have an arrow pointing down. DH and I held the sign.

I am the Chosen One and have the child hold it.

We just laminated our signs today and hopefully I can hide them well enough that they won't get taken away by security.:cool1:

We copied some cute signs off of the DISigns forum....one had Yoda/stitch with The force is strong with this one and one with Jedi Mickey The force is strong with me. Both kids are pumped for this!!

Anything in Yoda-speak is cute: "Choose me you shall", - just put the verb at the end of the sentence!

Or how about something about where you're from? Our sign said "Kiwi Jedi's - all the way from The Outer Rim" (we're from New Zealand - and it was a looooong plane trip to get to DL) - and both DS's got picked.

Great Ideas everybody! Thanks so much, you all make it seem so simple and obvious:) I love all of those! I'm not a Star Wars Guru, so I have no idea what's appropriate Star Wars Speak! DS6 is ALL about Star Wars, it's apparantly an epidemic with little boys!

Oh Hey, I thought of one maybe... Texas Jedi, Save me from the Dark side.

I like to use simple imagery instead of quotes, I figure the Jedi can't really see or has a lot of time to read a sign from the stage, especially not with the sun beaming down on him. I use simplified facial images of Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Darth Maul, R2-D2, and also a symbol for the Rebel Alliance and the Imperial cog - anything that relates to the show, with the exception of R2.

So far all the kids I've made signs for have been selected, we tricked the 3 year old we were with into holding up the Darth Maul sign during his big entry, and sure enough after his demo Darth Maul came over to greet him pirate:.

We had a picture of Darth Vaders face with a red circle and slash through it. Both our boys were picked :woohoo: It could have caused difficulties if only one was picked.:headache:

Where do plan you to hide them? :confused3
I thought about laminating our signs but them I heard they will confiscate them if found in the backpacks.

We made our signs on a file folder. When it's folded in half like normal it looks like a regular old file folder. It sturdy and big when held open. We kept it in our back pack with some papers in it. Good luck.

If you have a stroller, put the sign on the very bottom of the storage place in the stroller and then put your stuff on top of it. It doesn't look like anything if it's a blank piece of paper on one side and the writing on the bottom.

If it even looks remotely like a sign, security will make you throw it away, they won't allow it into DL.

We just put our in the bottom of the stroller and then don't have a problem at all. We made the mistake once of carrying it (DS12) and security saw it and made him throw it away. He was so bummed, but he made the show anyway.

I thought of the same: The Force is Strong with This One and an arrow. Good luck! I didn't know anything about signs being confiscated. My ds wore his Luke Skywalker costume to the park that day, complete with lightsaber, and was chosen first try.

We're bringing a double stroller.

Now I only have to make my boys sit down on top of each sign for a couple of minutes (stroller doesn't have any storage). :lmao:

Let's see if it can be done!! May the force be with us!! :yoda:

That's exactly what we did 2 years ago for DS10 (then 8) after spending waaaay too many hours of every trip trying to get him picked. Worked like a charm; he was the second child chosen!

Our sign had yoda on it, and said "strong I am with the Force"...Ds wore a lime green disney shirt, and was on the blue line- he was 3rd kid picked at the first session of the day!
