I am hoping that anyone from the Cleveland area or those that have traveled to the Cleveland area can help me. My friends and I will be heading to Cleveland after the Air Force 1/2 Marathon. We want to stay the night and go to Hard Rock and the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.

Any suggestions on where or in what area we should stay? Is there a 'good' or 'bad' area of Cleveland?

Thanks!!

As with any city we definitely have good and bad neighborhoods. Do you want to stay downtown or in a suburb?

Downtown is safe and I would have no problem staying down in the city center. The Renaissance is connected to Tower City which is where the Hard Rock is located and is a one mile walk to the RnR HOF. The closest hotel to the HOF is probably the Doubletree. This map will give you some other options. Anything that is between CSU and the river (East and West) and north of Progressive Field (including the Hilton Garden Inn right next to it) will be safe.

If you want to stay out of downtown in a suburb I would recommend staying in Independence near the intersection of I-480 and I-77. From any of them it is an easy drive downtown and that is a very nice, safe area. This map has the area I am talking about.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

I am pretty sure I asked but we are staying in Miamiburg which I think is about 20 mins away. Apparently a nice area.

Can't wait.

Thank you so much!!!!

You are welcome.

Are you talking about staying in Miamisburg for the run (which is about 20 minutes southwest of WPAFB) or like Lily said Middleburg Hts for your Cleveland trip (which is 20 minutes away also)?

If it is Middleburg then it is nice. It is not to far from me actually and very close to the other freeway that goes downtown, I-71.

Thanks guys, no it is definatley Miamisburg. Looks like a really nice place and only $212 for the weekend for a suite.
