I just saw a commercial for Clerks 2!!! It looks really funny. All of the original cast. It opens July 21, I love Kevin Smith movies!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!! :cool1:

hopefully it will be very popular so someone will be interested in buying the wierd (and sicko enuf that i hide them from the kids) "jay and silent bob" action figures (still in the unopened box) dh decided for some unknown reason to gift me with several years ago. :thumbsup2

any indication what the storyline is like? are the all still working at the same place, stuck in the same pointless lives?

Plot Summary for
Clerks II (2006)
The sequel picks up 10 years later. "It's about what happens when that lazy, 20-something malaise lasts into your 30s. Those dudes are kind of still mired, not in that same exact situation, but in a place where it's time to actually grow up and do something more than just sit around and dissect pop culture and talk about sex," Smith said during an interview at his Hollywood office. "It's: What happened to these dudes?"

A calamity at Dante and Randall's shops sends them looking for new horizons - but they ultimately settle at Mooby's, a fictional Disney-McDonald's-style fast-food empire. Free from his dead-end job (and lodged in a new one), Dante begins to break free of his rut, planning to move away with his clingy fiancé. Dante is ready to leave the horrors of minimum-wage New Jersey behind, but Randal - always the more hostile of the two - starts to become overwhelmed by his own rancor.

I'm pretty excited about this too!! We went to the 10th Anniversary for Mallrats that Kevin Smith did here in Los Angeles and it was such a good time!! I'm hoping he'll do something similar when this comes out. I heard a rumor he might preview Clerks 2 at ComiCon in July. I think we might have to head down and see for ourselves. :thumbsup2

They are working at Mooby's from Dogma? That is so cool how Kevin Smith does that in all of his movies. Jason Lee was in the trailer. I am looking forward to seeing the newest View Askew film!!!
