CLEP Test?

I guess this is mainly meant for my fellow homeschoolers.
But has anyone thought or done the CLEP Test? My mom has been telling me about it, and it doesn't seem like a bad idea. She says that.. say i get finish with all of my high school maths by next fall, I can study and take the CLEP Test at a local college. You go and take the hour long test on the computer and if you pass you dont have to take that subject your freshman year of college, so I can do this with all classes, and once i am ready to move away, I'll be able to skip my first year. Whats your idea's and opinions on this?

I took similar tests, the AP Test. I thought about taking the CLEP test for french but then I got several scholarships for it and then I thought, I am not even that good at french. I enjoy it anyway. But other than that, I think that it is a great idea. CLEP tests are like AP tests but AP tests are WAY harder. With AP tests, I don't think that you can skip a whole class but I think that you can with a CLEP test. Good Luck!
