can anyone tell me if there is a all inclusive tour from idrive to clearwater incorporating the clearwater screamer speedboat ride, how much and is it worth it:Pinkbounc :chat:

You will get wet! I have been on it three times. Saw dophins on every trip - racing alongside or jumping through the boats wake.

It is an amazing boat. Not a long trip. And the dried on salt will wreck your complexion. But, definitely worth the $15!

At the next dock is a 'pirate boat' dolphin tour. Dull. Very dull.

I know I have seen tickets on sale in orlando for a coach trip to Clearwater Beach - $30-$40ish? I would doubt it is worth paying all that money for a boat trip (even a good boat trip!).

hi m shannon
you can buy tickets here before you go through either www.keithprowsetickets.co.uk or www.seligo.com.
we did the everglades trip last time we went and they give you a phone number to call in florida which will tell you where pick up for the coach will be .. usually a local hotel.
you can get seligo brochure from most travel agents here and the current brochure price for the screamer trip is adults £39 & under 12's £20.tours on wednesdays. &includes lunch.
there are other companies that do the same trips and think you'll find it advertised in orlando tourist offices and your travel agent will be able to sell it at a welcome meeting .. they usually try!!
hope this helps
we're off on thursday and we're going to do the screamer but drive ourselves ..can't wait to see dophins jumping.awesome dudes!!!

We did this tour on July 7th, only a few weeks ago but seems like a lifetime. We booked through Real Florida Tours, think it was approx $35. We got picked up in Orlando at 8.50am. Buffet lunch at the Hilton was included in the price,as was the seascreamer.

It was a great day and I would do it again. I have written about it in more detail in my trip report, day 3., you can find it on the UK trip report forum.

We spent a few days at Clearwater two weeks ago and DD and I went on the Dolphin Encounter trip (DH didn't come as he doesn't 'Do' boats) We paid $24 for a 90 minute trip which I thought was really excellent value. We booked on spec. at the dock. All the excursions are in the same place (just behind the main carpark at Clearwater Beach) including the Seascreamer (which looked fun but doesn't last as long as the Dolphin Encounter) and also the Pirates Cruise which was expensive and looked naff, naff, naff! Other offerings included Parasailing, which I was sorely tempted to do and also Waverunner Hire.

We booked the 11am trip but you could choose from about 4 sailings everyday (I think this is the same with the Seascreamer) The trip was one of the highlights of my holiday and we saw loads of dolphins, both in the water and chasing the boat. The scenery was spectacular and we also fed seagulls with bread from the boat which DD really enjoyed (although it was a little like that scene from 'Hitchcock's The Birds'.)

The drive back from Clearwater took around 2 hours and was really easy to navigate so, if you have a car, it may be as easy and cheaper to drive yourselves down and just book the trip when you get there.
