Clearwater restaurant

We are heading off for a day at Clearwater beach in September and would like to go out for a late lunch while there.

Would really like somewhere that looks onto water and that serves the odd cocktail and some nice nosh.
Nothing to posh as we will be a bit windswept.

Has anyone been and found somewhere nice that they can recommend?

Just slightly further afield, and no cocktails looking onto the beach, but look at Crabby Bills at Indian Rocks Beach. (There is one on Clearwater beach but this is the original _

We have been to Clearwater before but didnt really enjoy it, but as I always hear people say they enjoy it so much I am going to give it another try but do a bit of planning.

Can you recommend a nice beach? Or are they all pretty much the same?

We were there for a week in 1999, didn't enjoy it at all. So wished we had stayed in Orlando.
Easter this year we returned for 1 day, had great day and will do it again next year probably, its just not somewhere we would spend another week, 1 night or 2 nights max we could enjoy there but a week is far too long for us in Clearwater.

I agree with Wayne. We stayed in Clearwater for 3 nights and that was plenty to be honest.
There are too many great things to see and do in Florida to be laying on a beach for a week.....and I just cant sit still for that long!
