Clearwater Beach in January

We're considering escape the cold for a few days and spending them at Clearwater Beach. I'm thinking this would be a little cheaper than Disney unless a really good discount comes out. Does anyone have a hotel recommendation and/or information about the area?

They have essentially every motel / hotel in every city, with reviews for each by other travelers. Type in the city in the search bar and you'll see. It's an incredibly helpful site for any kind of travel.

To escape the cold in January Clearwater Beach would not be a good choice why because it will be cold there too. January is Florida's coldest month so you better dress warm especially since you will be on the coast!

We really enjoyed the Hyatt Regency. Just south of the Hilton. Expensive but we received a AAA discount.

Its older but clean, across the street from the beach, nice and quiet area. We like to walk up to Crabby Bills by the traffic circle for dinner. And the buskers are fun to watch on Saturday nights by the pier. Some day my goal is to spend Christmas with just Dh and Dd at Clearwater Beach.
