Many of you know about the clearchannel certifricates that have been around the Orlando area. Most certifs are $50 for $25.
Well today I took my family to Froggers (a local sports bar) to eat some wings and watch some games. I had 5 $10 certificates that I bought from clearchannel earler.
Well we ate nearly $40 worth of food and then went to pay with the coupons (plus $10 cash for tip and tax) and was promptly told that they no longer accept the Clearchannel certificates.
I was steamed, I talked it out with some "jughead" manager who refused to budge. She said the "Clearchannel had broken an agreement" with the restaurant.
And to top it all off, the food and service was horrible.
IMHO, these certificates are not worth the hassle. every time I get one, there is some quircky situation where they do not want to honor the entire amount or some such thing. One restaurant went out of business, one would not let me pay for a beer as part of the bill....etc.
I've already e-mailed clearchannel and asked for a refund, plus the cost of my bad dinner at Froggers.
Just be warned...I guess you get what you pay for.
