CLEAR and MCO

Do you think we'd be safe to just take a Lyft back to MCO instead of MDE? Our flight leaves around 7 pm on New Year's Day. I thought we'd check in luggage through RAC since we're staying onsite, catch the Lyft 3 hours before our flight, and we do have CLEAR to help us get quicker thru security.

I think you'll be fine. With TSA-Pre and CLEAR, 3 hours should be fine. There won't be a lot of traffic on New Year's Day Monday, and you'll sail through security in about 10 minutes.
RAC closes about 1pm. Can you drop your bags 6 hours early? I have never used RAC since I do carry-on and have an Owner's Locker.

Thanks for the reply! We don't have TSA Pre though, so I guess that was my concern. However with CLEAR, we never have a line, but sometimes it takes awhile to get through the scanner on super busy days...but even on the worse travel days, we've never waiting longer than 15 minutes to do so. As for RAC, as far as I understand, as long as we drop our luggage off before the deadline, we should be good. Luggage will just get there ahead of us.

FYI RAC now closes at 12 noon. Also looks like it now opens at 4a

Your flight is on New Years Eve?!
I would think that security at MCO wouldn't be all that busy on New Years Eve afternoon.
My only concern would be that you may run into surge pricing with Uber/Lyft since people may be heading out for the evenings festivities...maybe...maybe not

Oh my gosh. Sorry, I will go back and edit. I am actually flying out on New Years Day at around 7pm.---not new years eve.
