last summer there was a thread about cleaning tile grout.
one of the ideas worked really great , only I can;t remember what I did!

I know it wasn't anything caustic since I do NOT remember wearing gloves, like I did in the past with CLR.

any ideas?

I used a Magic Eraser. It worked great! I used up more than one though, due to the abrasiveness of the grout on the sponge.

is the topic somewhere in your post history?? Have you tried looking it up. People are good at scrounging up long gone dead topics.

no I don't think I ever post on it. I did a search but could not find anything!
some searches , for me, never find anything! ( dunno, stupid computer)

I have avoer 700 threads subscribed, but must not have saved that one.

now the magic eraser sounds familiar. will try that tomorrow

I've used an old toothbrush and some tilex. Thankfully this was at our old house, unsealed grout and it never looked clean.

I can see the magic eraser working, but I see the grout eating it pretty quickly.

If you get it as clean as you want (or as clean as it will get) what about sealing it so that you don't have to do this again? They sell little brushes with the sealant in it, like a nail polish brush.

We used the powdered OxyClean in the big box from Costco. Worked great and we have alot of tile.
