Cleaning Supplies in a Studio

What cleaning supplies are in a studio? For example, is there dishwasher detergent or dishsoap? Just wondering what supplies I need to bring. Thanks.

There is dishwashing liquid in the studios. Since there is no dishwasher, there is no need for that.

Our resorts (BWV and VWL) did not have any laundry detergent in them. Not sure if I was supposed to get a small box or not (was my first DVC stay). I had brought a box that was good for 4 loads and knew that would be enough so never actually asked.

There were plenty of paper towels and a sponge to wash things. The trash bags were attached so when you took a full one out, the others were in the bottom of the can so we had those when we needed them.

Since there is no daily mousekeeping for DVC is there an area specifically designated for trash when it is removed from a villa? If we cook like we plan to then four days will be too long to leave trash in the kitchen can.

Yes, every resort has a trash disposal area. At OKW there is a trash/recycle room on the first floor of every building, under one of the stairwells. You may need to look for it as there are often multiple stairwells per building.

No laundry detergent in the studios because there are no washers and dryers in the studios.

Studios will get a sponge, dishwashing liquid, paper towels and trash bags. Usually the non-OKW resorts will have a trash room on each floor, somewhat centrally located. You can take recyclables and trash to that room.

we just returned from a split stay - BLT and BWV. Before we left I purchased the Purex sheets that are detergent and softener in one. You throw it in with the wash, the keep it in with the clothes thru the dryer. They worked just fine. Also, the washers and dryers at these 2 locations were fairly new, and worked just great. We usually don't use studios, so it has been quite a while since we had to use the location facilities, and I remember when a load in the dryer took several cycles. Not with these babies - 40 minutes timed and the clothes were super dry. Also, when the washers started it would display how long the cycle would take, so you knew exactly when to return. Sweet deal
