Cleaning out my scrapping stuff!

I can't believe I basically spent the entire afternoon sorting through all of my stuff. I thought I did that when I sent stuff for the fund raiser....
But I loaded up my tackle box and went through all the other stuff. Pulling out stickers and die cuts I will never use. Went through my scrap paper and trashed a lot of it! but I had tiny strips of paper.....
I now have the stickers in order and the ones that have been sitting in folders are now in their spot! I want to sit down with binder again and clean out. I may send some of the stuff into school or just let DD have it.
But one nice thing. All my stuff including one album fits in my xxlarge crop in style and tackle box!

I would be very happy to package all of my unwanted items and send them to you! Seriously! Plus if i did that I am sure I could clear out even more stuff if I knew they were going to a good home!

Nicurn ....Great minds think alike . I was about the to post the same thing ! Although I don't have near the number of stuff you guys have. You may not think my "trash" is "treasure".

You will be getting a hodge podge of stuff. school die cuts (used their machine) letters pages with some missing....lots of junk! SO THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I hate to just toss it.

I would love to do a swap thing like that too but anytime I have extras we take them to the cancer center when Michala goes for her scans. They let the children that are going through chemo, radiation, bone marrow treatments or going for test work on their books. I think it's such a wonderful part of the healing process for them and their parents.

I have to tell you one of the neatest things I ever experienced there one time. Michala was going through chemo and it was one of her long treatments. Her counts were to low for her to go out of the room and I wouldn't ever leave her room. The nurse came in to check her vitals. The nurse said why don't you just walk out in the hall for a minute, it will do you good. The craft center was right beside her room so I went to the door. There was a bone marrow recipient in there working. She showed me the page she was doing. There was a picture of her before she was diagnosed, one when she was diagnosed and one after her transplant. She said this is before, when I was dying and this is my new life. She was such a brave girl. I walked back into Michala's room with a new outlook. It was so neat to see all that scrapbook stuff that I would have typically thrown away or given to some kids to play with go to use.

I never thought about a children's hosiptal for this stuff. I will keep that in mind for the next clean out. Especially paper!
But I really got rid of most of my good junk for the fund raiser. This is more odds and ends.

what a great idea! I never thought about taking stuff to the children's hospital. I was gonna clean out my old stuff too at the end of the year and wasn't sure what to do with it...now maybe I will check into our kids hospital!
